Nottingham Forest Supporters’ Trust can announce that Steve Wright has resigned from his position on the NFST board. Steve has been an integral part of the Trust’s early life with a not insignificant contribution to the shape and direction of the vision both before the official launch in January 2017 and since then as we’ve built on that successful start.

Unfortunately Steve’s commitments to both Bandy & Shinty and Forest Ladies have put increasing demands on his time and continuing on all fronts was just not feasible. Steve had been a part of the initial working group before, more recently, continuing to contribute to the Trust’s growth as a member of the first elected board.

Chair of Nottingham Forest Supporters Trust, Elliott Stanley, said “Steve’s passion for Nottingham Forest coupled with his ability to articulate his ideas and vision for the Trust have been invaluable to us. It’s disappointing to lose his presence on the board but his increased workload, particularly with Forest Ladies, is a sign of where our club is heading and the ongoing rebuilding work across the full spectrum of activity underneath the ‘Forest’ banner”

With a number of working groups beginning to get off the ground the Trust will, where appropriate, look to co-opt members onto the board to ensure demands can be met. In the longer term, at the next AGM, a number of board positions will be made available for interested members who wish to stand for election.
